MITA represents the interests of the underground, road and bridge contractors throughout Michigan as well as many affiliated businesses by promoting and protecting these various segments of the industry in Washington DC, Lansing and at the local level in terms of governmental relations. The top priority of MITA is to fight for and secure adequate long-term funding with limited bureaucratic involvement for the entire heavy construction industry.
