Are you thinking about becoming a MITA member? You've come to the right page. We've got the answers to some frequently asked questions. Read through to see if joining MITA will be the right choice for you!
1. What type of member should I enroll as, and how much will it cost?
CONTRACTOR: Contractor members consist of different types of construction companies who specialize in various types of heavy construction disciplines such as road, bridge, sewer and water, utility, railroad, excavation and specialty construction throughout the state of Michigan.
There are two types of Contractor Members at MITA: UNION and NON-UNION. Dues vary according to which sales bracket your company falls in.
ASSOCIATE: Associate members consist of suppliers, professionals (accountants, attorneys, insurance, consultants), utilities and public owner companies in the state of Michigan.
Promotional Incentive: Associate members who have paid their annual dues in full are eligible for a promotional incentive credit. The credit can be applied to the following: MITA Event Sponsorship, Advertising, E-Blast Credit. This credit is an effort to encourage ALL Associate Members to take advantage of the marketing opportunities being offered by MITA. Associate member firms are responsible for any remaining balance not covered by the promotional credit. Unused credits will not accumulate.

2. Does my company join MITA, or do I join as an individual?
Membership registration means that you've signed your company up to become a member. All materials and services are available to your entire staff through your company's membership.
3. What are the methods of payment for membership dues, events and online product orders?
The most efficient way to handle all MITA charges is to pay by credit card on the MITA website. If you don't pay online, you will receive a statement with the amount owed to MITA.
4. My company is not a MITA member, but I'd like to order some safety materials. Is there a non-member price?
No. All MITA products are exclusively available to MITA members only, unless specifically advertised as "For Sale To Non-Members" by MITA.
