As we are now at the end of the month, as well as the end of 2014, our new website and database has automatically sent out friendly reminder emails to “renew” your MITA membership by paying first quarter dues (for contractors) or annual dues (for associate members).
MITA would like to clarify that NO ONE is getting removed from the database or our membership list for failure to pay dues by close of business today or by midnight tomorrow tonight. The new system simply has a rule in place to remind members to pay their dues when the end of the year rolls around and at the beginning of each new quarter. There is a 365 day grace period for all members, which begins when members receive the reminder email from the new system.
Many members have already handled this by signing into the website to pay first quarter/annual dues. We thank you for doing that, and we hope everyone has enjoyed how efficient the new system is for paying dues electronically! Please keep in mind that all members have full access to the website anytime with the use of usernames and passwords. Dues information is always available. Paying dues with the company credit card from the convenience of the office is a new streamlined option that MITA is offering. In addition, for those who prefer to be invoiced, there is a Bill Me option available on the new website.
MITA will edit the email that was sent out today in an effort to avoid further misunderstandings when second quarter dues emails go out. MITA hopes this bulletin helps to clarify any confusion that might have been caused by the email that went out this morning. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact MITA with any questions or concerns you may have at 517-347-8336.
