InfoTech, Inc. recently announced the release of a new version of the electronic bidding software, Expedite 5.6a, which contains improvements to the currently implemented version Expedite 5.3a. As InfoTech, Inc. releases newer versions of Expedite, older versions will no longer be supported.

Therefore, effective with the July 7, 2006, bid letting, MDOT will upgrade from Expedite version 5.3a to Expedite version 5.6a.

To be able to download, install, and execute Expedite version 5.6a, which will be required to enable bidding as a Prime Contractor as of the July 7, 2006 bid letting, your computer will need either the Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system.

If you do not upgrade to Expedite version 5.6a, you will be unable to submit bids beginning with the July 7, 2006 bid letting.
