MDOT to Host Two Days of Workshops in Spring Lake

MDOT will host various workshops and educational sessions at the Holiday Inn, Spring Lake on Tuesday, October 9 and Wednesday, October 10. Each session has individual registration forms with detailed information.

Certification/Prequalification & Contracting 101 will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will focus on how to get certified as a DBE and learn about the State of Michigan’s contracting process.
MIOSHA Construction Regulations workshop will also be held on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will provide you with understanding on topics such as Fall Protection, Lifting & Digging Equipment and Electrical Installations.
Five Keys to Achieving Fiscal Fitness will take place on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to Noon. The purpose of this session will assist business owners to understand and use their financial information to change and grow their company.
Social Media, a guide to assist business owners on the use of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn will take place on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Wage and Labor Compliance Payroll Preparation workshop will be on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will provide understanding on Prevailing Wage Components, Contract Documents, Wage Decisions and much more.
All workshops are free of charge and offered through the MDOT DBE program. They are open to all contractors.
