Grassroots Push: We’ve Made It Easier To Contact Your Legislators!

Several weeks ago you were given the necessary information to contact your legislators via email about investing in Michigan’s infrastructure. One of our member companies, Ajax Paving, took the assignment one step further by investing in a link on their website, making it simple to contact your legislators with a few clicks of the mouse. The best part of this link is the fact that photos of bad roads and bridges have already been pre-uploaded for individual districts. Once you select your legislators, fill out your contact information, select a letter and click the submit button, the photos will automatically attach to your email. This is a quick and very easy way to keep the pressure on the legislature as they deliberate the merits of finding more funds for transportation and infrastructure needs. This is also a great way to get involved and to contribute to this grassroots campaign. We need everyone to participate!
MITA is in the process of implementing a similar link on our website,, as well as on We have negotiated a very reasonable rate with the developer to enable all of our members to be able to implement a non-branded version of the very same link on their sites. This would allow for all members’ employees, family and friends to participate in influencing the decisions before our legislators regarding funding for Michigan roads and bridges. If this is something you would like to invest in for your own company’s website, please contact Mariam Robinson, Outreach Coordinator, at or at 517-853-5866.
Stay tuned for updates on when the links go live on these two sites, and in the meantime, please go to to access the link on their site. Scroll all the way down the home page, and click on the phrase “Click here for better roads” in the bottom right corner. When prompted for a user name, type in ajaxpaving. The password is goajax. When the site appears, follow the instructions and hit submit at the bottom.
